Chaudiere Lodge is located on an island in Ontario's legendary Upper French River. Just 4 1/2 hours north of Toronto by car. Over 80 miles long, the French connects Lake Nipissing, one of Ontario's premier walleye fisheries, to Lake Huron's Georgian Bay. Lake Nipissing is over 50 miles long by 20 miles wide with the Upper French occupying over 20 miles of great fishing. Including the bays and inlets, this portion of the French reaches widths of 5 to 6 miles and does not appear to be a river at all but resembling instead a large lake with no discernible current.
